Synopsis: Set during the Philippine-American war, a short-tempered Filipino general faces an enemy more formidable than the American army: his own treacherous countrymen.

In 1898, General Antonio Luna ( John Arcilla ), commander of the revolutionary army, is spoiling for a fight. The Philippines, after three hundred years as a Spanish colony, has unwillingly come under American rule. General Luna wants to fight for freedom but members of the elite would rather strike a deal with the United States. The infighting is fierce in the new cabinet but General Luna and his loyal men forge ahead even as his military decisions are met with resistance from soldiers who are loyal only to President Aguinaldo ( Mon Confiado ). Ultimately, it is the general’s legendary temper and pride that bring him to his death when a pack of presidential guards assassinate him in broad daylight. "Tragic Theater: The Exorcism of the Film Center" is a 2015 pinoy horror movie starring Christopher de Leon, John Estrada, and Andi Eigenmann. Synopsis: In February 1999, a group of spirit communicators attempted to exorcise the then-abandoned Manila Film Center of ghosts. These supernatural beings were believed to be those of the victims from a fatal accident during its hasty construction. Posas (2012)

"Posas" is a 2012 Filipino action drama movie starring Nico Antonio and Bangs Garcia. It talks about Corruption in it's basic and ugly form since the year 1920.

Plot: Corruption is a process. Jestoni “Jess” Biag, early 20s, is a notorious snatcher victimizing people in bustling streets around Quiapo Church. As a routine, he steals wallets, gadgets and jewelries, which he will trade for a meager amount of peso---enough for him to survive and to support his family. Today, Jess will be captured by the police for snatching a cellphone of a call center agent, Ma. Grace Rosuello (Bangs Garcia). It’s his first time to undergo investigation. And as he goes in the process from Barangay Hall Clinic, Police Station to the Fiscal’s Office, we will witness how human rights violation bluntly executes, and how culture of corruption deviously perpetuates in this chain of institutions. English Only, Please (2014)

"English Only, Please" is a 2014 MMFF romantic comedy film starring Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay. Both of them won the best actor and actress awards in the recent Metro Manila Film Festival.

Synopsis: Misery loves company—and two miserable people may eventually find love in each other. Case in point: the protagonists of English Only, Please. Julian Parker (played by Derek Ramsay) is a New Yorker business analyst who hires (through the Internet) a tutor who can teach him how to speak Tagalog fluently. He finds Tere Madlansacay (Jennylyn Mercado), a Bulakenya who teaches English to Korean students, among others. Julian pays Tere to translate, from English to Filipino, his hate-filled letter to his ex-girlfriend Megan (Isabel Oli). He is still hung up on his college sweetheart who, after graduation, returned home and met another man. He flies to Manila and learns Tagalog from Tere, so he can personally deliver and recite with feelings his letter to Megan. Tere herself is lovesick. She continues to see her ex-boyfriend Rico (Kean Cipriano) and lavishes him with expensive gifts in the hope of getting him back. It takes a while for Julian and Tere to break the ice. For starters, Julian is aloof and he can’t stand her tardiness. Tere, on the other hand, is perky and friendly, but she appears ditzy and unrefined. Realizing that they needed each other’s help—he, in stalking his ex at a cineplex; and she, in pouring out hurt feelings over her ex—Julian and Tere become friends and they start spending more time together.
